Nilgai is an antelope that is found in the regions of central and northern India and also in parts of eastern Pakistan. This wild animal is 1.2 to 1.5 meters in height and 1.8 to 2 meters long. It weighs about 120 to 240 kilograms. The little ones of the Nilgai weighs about 13.6 to 15.9 kilogram.

The male Nilgai are also called as Blue bulls. And the Nilgai are the biggest antelopes in Asia. Nilgai are found in herds both sex mixed. The herd contains about 4 to 20 antelopes.

Nilgai have a robust body that slopes down from the shoulder and have thin legs. The male nilgai are blue/black in color and have horns and beard. Female nilgai are brown in color and they lack the horns, mane and beard. Nilgai inhabit themselves to the dry forest areas and graze on the open plain lands.

Five subspecies of tigers are available today. They are Siberian, Sumatran, South china, Bengal and Indochinese. Of the known cats family tigers are good swimmers. An tiger weighs about 272 kg and is 1.8 to 2.8 meters long.

Tigers depend on other animal for their prey. They hunt medium sized preys like deer, elk, pigs, buffalo, chital etc. Sometimes they may hunt huge animals for their prey also.
