  • Reptiles are ectothermic, which means they get their body heat from external sources. They cannot regulate their body temperature.

  • Reptiles cannot chew their food, they can only tear it.
  • Saltwater crocodile is the largest reptile in the world which can grow to a length of 23 feet.

Crotalus durissus unicolor is a venomous pitviper subspecies found only on the Caribbean island of Aruba, off the coast of Venezuela. Critically endangered, it is estimated that less than 230 adults survive in the wild. Sometimes still treated as a full species.
