A new bird species that belongs to antpitta was discovered recently. The bird is named Fenwick
Antpitta and the scientific name is Grallaria fenwickor
The bird was actually discovered in 2008 and it took nearly two years time to determine that the bird is a new species. The bird weights about two ounces and it is seven inches tall. The total number of bits in the species is very small, small enough that they all can be numbered. The bird is found to live only in the high altitude forest areas. The birds feeds on the insects in the leaf litter an lives in the bamboo thickets
New Frog Species in India

Group of researchers found a new frog species in the summit area of Anamudi. The new frog species was found to have many glands and short limbs. It was give a scientific name Raorchestes resplendens.
Two new frog species in panama

On May 20 researchers of Eldredge Bermingham’s lab found a new frog species.
The species was named Pristimantis adnus and was found at the pacific coast of Darien province. The male species of this frog are found to be 2 centimeters. The frog has shagreen with scattered enlarged granules. Its iris is found to be rosy gold color.
The team while working at the Omar Torrijos National park found a frog bigger than the other frog species. When they brought the species to the museum they found that the frog is entirely a new species.
The frog is named as Pristimantis educatoris and it is found to be 2 to 4 centimeters. It has round expanded finger disks and toes and these organs are different from other closely related species. It has eye color that varies from blood red to yellow orange above and below it is dark purple to dark grey. It has a horizontal pupil.
New species found in Papua New Guinea

Remarkable array of new species were found in Papua New Guinea which includes a smallest wallaby, Pinocchio like nose frog, gecko with yellow eyes, giant woolly rat, etc. all these species were discovered in Foja Mountains in Indonesia. The species were identified during the four week survey in the rainforest.
During the survey several new mammals, reptiles, amphibians and insects were also discovered.
Long nosed tree frog
The long nosed tree frog is completely a new species to the science world. The new frog was identified in a bag of rice. The nose will point upward when the male is calling and it will point downwards when the male is less active.
The world’s tiniest wallaby was discovered by Kristofer Helgen. The wallaby is the smallest species in the kangaroo family.
Kristofer also found a gecko which looks like gargoyle with the yellow eyes.
The other species include:

- Imperial pigeon
- Black and white butterfly
- Flowering shrub
The biggest of all the species is the imperial pigeon that has rusty feathers which are whitish and gray in color.
Minute new frog species

A new minute frog species has been discovered in the regions of Condor Mountain Range. The frog has been named Pristimantis Minimus and it has been described as the smallest terrestrial vertebrate
