In the distant forest of Madagascar a new species of Lemur has been discovered. The new species was discovered by Louise Jasper and Charlie Gardner. The species is named as Mirza. The newly discovered mouse lemur species differ in its coat color of the body. It has a red tail which is darkened towards the end. The species was discovered in the Ranobe forest in Madagascar. The forest is known for its richness in uncommon and rarely seen animals.

A new species of lizard has been discovered in the tropical evergreen forest in central highlands province of kon tum. The species has been found at a height of 1000 meters and the new species is found to belong to the pseudocalotes family. The new species is named after Thomas Ziegler a German Professor who has done many research work about the reptiles and amphibians.
From 2004 this is the fifth lizard species discovered in Vietnam. The other species are Acanthosaura nataliae found in 2006, Bronchocela orlovi found in 2004, Brochocela vietnamensis found in 2005, and Pseudocophotis kontumensis found in 2007.
The species was uncovered during a research program on biodiversity done by the institute of ecology and biological resource, world wildlife fund, and Saint Petersburg institute for zoology.

A new fiddler crab species has been identified by the local academic and naturalist in the offshore county of Penghu.
After 20 years this is the first fiddler crab species identified said the associate professor Shih His-te in National Chung Hsing University. This was the man who made the discovery.
The new species is named Uca jocelynae sp.nov. This is the first fiddler crab species to be discovered by the Asian scholars.
The new crab species is found to live in the tidal flats and in the flat coastal areas which are covered and exposed by the tides. They can also be seen in the clean beaches.
The new species is commonly known as northern fiddler crab. Generally the fiddler crabs are distributed in western pacific islands, japan, Okinawa, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia.
The researchers found that the DNA, crab form and its structure were very different from all other fiddler crabs.
The distinct feature of the new fiddler crab is the large chelae (claw) and in the fixed finger there are two deep depressions.

A new species of gecko has been found in the lower regions of Cardamom Mountains. The species is named as Cnemaspis neangthyi.
The new species is olive in color with light blotches. Each blotch contains a central black dot.
Fauna and Flora International said that since Cardamom Mountain are home to many endangered species that are not found anywhere in the world the mountain area is well preserved.

Scientist has found a large web throwing spider and a Tasmanian funnel web spider which has been thought as extinct in 1920’s.
Funnel web spiders are mostly used by the pharmaceutical companies to develop new drugs by using the venom of the spiders.
The researchers said that every funnel web spider has a different venom that has something special in them which is very valuable to the pharmaceutical companies.
New moths and snails have also been discovered by the scientist.
